Northern Fence Tropic Level:
Diagrams are used to represent an organisms trophic level. Trophic levels consist of four levels which include primary producers, primary consumers, secondary consumers, and tertiary consumers which describe an organisms role and position in a food chain. Northern Fence Lizards are secondary consumers because they are insectivores which prey on insects and because they are preyed on by hawks and snakes. Nonetheless, lizards are important organisms to an ecosystems food chain because they eat small insects, which keep the insect population in check, and because they are prey to tertiary con
Intraspecific and Interspecific Interactions:
An interspecfic interaction is used to describe the way an organism interacts with any different species. Northern Fence Lizards interact with different species by competing for niches and space, and through a predator/ prey relationship. Moreover, an intraspecific interaction illustrates the way members of a same species interact, in which Northern Fence Lizard communicate with each other through: courtship and mating and niche and mate competition.
